Many students and newcomers to UAI are interested in reading Hutter, Quarel, and Catt’s new textbook “An Introduction to Universal Artificial Intelligence.”
We have organized a reading group starting Monday September 1st at noon EDT – see the calendar for the most up-to-date information.
If you would like to attend the first meeting:
- The meeting link will be the same one we use for the regular research discussion meetings. If you do not have that link already and you would like to attend please reach out to an organizer e.g. colewyeth@gmail.com at least a few days in advance.
- We will discuss the first chapter: “Introduction.” Please read this chapter in advance. Come prepared to ask questions and discuss.
- The reading group will continue weekly on Mondays.
Note that the textbook reading group is not the same as the regular meetings, which are (as of now) taking place every other week and four hours later. The next regular meeting is on August 25th and will start with a short talk from Arthur Franz of OCCAM on his latest research.
